Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the repair services provided by Wells Electronics Ltd. Please read them carefully before booking a repair.
Last updated: June 2026. These terms apply to all repair services booked through christieprojectorrepair.co.uk or by telephone.
1. Definitions
"We", "us", "our" refers to Wells Electronics Ltd, registered in England & Wales. "You", "your" refers to the customer booking repair services. "Unit" refers to the projector or equipment submitted for repair. "Report" refers to the written Engineering Report provided after diagnostic assessment.
2. Service Description
We provide diagnostic, repair, calibration and maintenance services for Christie digital projectors. All work is carried out at our discretion using qualified technicians and appropriate test equipment. We reserve the right to decline service for units that are uneconomical to repair or pose safety hazards.
3. Booking & Acceptance
A repair booking is accepted when we issue a reference number. Submission of the booking form does not constitute acceptance. We will confirm acceptance via email or telephone within 24 hours of receiving your booking.
4. Diagnostic Assessment
All repairs (except pure calibration services) begin with a diagnostic assessment. The diagnostic fee is quoted at booking and covers: power-on testing, thermal imaging, power rail analysis, optical inspection, and a written Engineering Report. The diagnostic fee is payable regardless of whether you proceed with the recommended repair.
5. Repair Quotes
Following diagnostic assessment, we provide a written repair quote. The quote is valid for 14 days. No repair work beyond diagnosis will commence without your explicit approval of the quote. Additional faults discovered during repair will be reported and require separate authorisation.
6. Pricing & Payment
All prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date. We accept BACS transfer and major credit cards. Units will not be released until payment is received in full. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above Bank of England base rate.
7. Turnaround Times
Diagnostic turnaround is typically 3-5 working days from unit receipt. Repair turnaround varies by fault complexity and parts availability. We will advise expected completion at quote stage. Turnaround times are estimates and not binding.
8. Warranty
All repairs carry a 90-day warranty as detailed in our Warranty & Return Policy. This is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer, which are not affected.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for those services. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profits, revenue, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
10. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). By booking a repair, you consent to such processing.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force at the time of your booking will apply to your repair.
